Duke is one of the founding partners of BY&S and brings more than 35 years of experience in healthcare, manufacturing and service industries. His expertise includes collateral management, mergers and acquisitions due diligence, public offerings, debt and equity structuring and operational management. Prior to joining BY&S in 2009, Duke spent 15 years in various roles in the healthcare industry including consulting for healthcare due diligence, working in Corporate Treasury for an $800MM physician staffing company, and acting as CFO for healthcare startups and a company that managed risk plans for physician organizations. Although Duke retired in January 2024, he continues to be an integral part of BY&S, remaining available for work-related consultations, guidance and personal catch-ups.

Duke holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Wake Forest University and a Master of Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. During retirement Duke plans to spend quality time with his family and friends.
